Provides direct patient care, technical support and input in planning care through communication with the RN and other patient care team members. Is effectively involved with maintaining the standard of care for assigned patients through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Maintains competency and possesses the skills to administer clinical treatment specific to age, growth and level of development of patient, including pediatrics, adolescents and geriatrics as appropriate. Completes duties as assigned and performs duties under the direct supervision of the RN or LPN designee.

HS diploma or GED required. Nursing students who have completed at least one year of nursing education (at least one semester of clinicals) from an accredited BSN program or who have completed one semester of nursing education from a two year nursing program (must be currently enrolled in Nursing School) may be hired as a Professional Nursing Assistant. Current AHA BLS certification required.
